Fixed Theme – A Short Story – An Epiphany

I jumped in tonight and fixed whatever it was that was breaking the header here on the site.  I had upgraded the theme that I use quickly and without paying much attention (I apologize).  The upgrade wiped out the custom css styling and long story short, I had to put the customization back to make things look right again!  🙂  I also upgraded a favicon plugin and now the little icon that shows up in a browser tab should be working again as well.

Separately, I read a great book (business book, non fiction) by my friend Jim Kukral today.  Jim writes How to and business books and does a lot of good things as a business advisor, small business coach and marketer in genera.

He recently published an ebook through Amazon titled "No Publisher Needed - Crowdfunding Your Book - How I Raised Over $30k in 30-Days To Pre-Fund My New Book".  This particular book is free, because Jim did some extraordinary work raising money to fund the project before he wrote the book!

Well, that was inspirational all by itself, but one section of the book triggered a bit of an epiphany for me.  Instead of rolling my prologue into Peter3d Out (only).  I'm going to separately publish it as a short story all by itself.  The prologue does stand on its own and I already have it produced as an audiobook.  hell it's ready to go and I'm super happy with the way it turned out.  Plus, I think it will help when I attempt to raise funds for marketing and development on the rest of the book whether I go through Kickstarter or as Jim recommends in the book, possibly running a promotion directly from my own site.
